Terms of Service
Last updated: September 9, 2026
Agreement
These terms govern use of Veris at veris.dev. By creating an account or using the product, you agree to them. If you use Veris for an organization, you confirm you have authority to bind that organization.
The service
Veris analyzes GitHub repositories you connect and produces findings about software risk. Findings are decision support. They are not a guarantee that your software is secure, reliable, or inexpensive to run, and they are not legal, compliance, or financial advice.
GitHub access
You must have the right to connect any repository you attach. Access is read-only through the Veris GitHub App. We do not push, merge, or otherwise modify your repository. You can revoke the App from GitHub at any time; scans that need repository access will then fail.
Accounts and acceptable use
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping credentials secure. Do not abuse the service, attempt to access other customers' data, interfere with scans, or use Veristo violate the law or GitHub's terms.
Trial, plans, and credits
New workspaces may receive a capped trial scan on one project. Paid plans include monthly credits and higher limits, as shown on the pricing page. Credits are consumed when you run scans. Unused subscription credits do not roll over unless we say otherwise in the product.
Paid subscriptions renew until you cancel. You keep access through the end of the current billing period. Fees are charged via Stripe and are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
Your content
You retain ownership of your code and repository content. You grant Veris a limited license to copy and process that content solely to provide the service (including sending it to AI providers during a scan). We do not use your code to train AI models. You can disconnect repositories and request account deletion as described in our Privacy Policy.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep Veris available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change features, plans, or these terms. If a change is material, we will post an updated date on this page or notify the account email.
Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, Veris is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses arising from findings you act on or ignore, third-party services (including GitHub, Stripe, and model providers), or downtime. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amounts you paid us for the service in the three months before the claim, or $100 if you are on the free plan.
